Four local artists from the Marblehead Peninsula have turned the Ferguson Gallery glass blowing studio into a gallery show place. The Peninsula Four, comprised of Lori-Roberts-Cobbledick, Rick Dziak, Debbie Prue and Cary Ferguson, will be exhibiting approximately forty original paintings. All the paintings will be new work that has never been exhibited before, and will be for viewing and for sale.

Over the last few years, the Peninsula Four have painted at the Dziak gallery, outdoors and at the Ferguson gallery/ studio. The paintings are as varied as their personalities. Some paintings are in oil and others in acrylic. The techniques include brush work and palette knife paintings on board or canvas. All of these fine artists have worked in the creative field for most of their lives, and it is this unique quality that brought them together.

The gallery owner, Cary Ferguson, has been in business for thirty-four years, and said, “I feel  it to be  an honor to host a show of such talented artists, and it will be a great opportunity for the public to view and support the talent within our own community. “

The exhibition’s opening day will be May 11th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The artists will be on hand at various times throughout the day to discuss their work, and Oil Painters of America Signature Member Rick Dziak will be doing a demonstration of oil painting that will be open to the public. The demo will start at 1:30 p.m. Dziak is one of only two artists in Ohio to have been awarded that signature status.  Demonstrations by the other artists will take place at various times throughout the duration of the  show which will run through Memorial Day weekend.

The exhibition will be on view during regular business hours of 10 a.m-5 p.m. daily, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sundays. The Ferguson Gallery is located at 5890 East Harbor Road. Questions can be directed to the gallery at 419-734-0600.
